Cheryl Lean opened her legal practice in Prince Edward County in 2004. Since then she has helped many individuals and families with their family matters.
Cheryl served as a Bencher of the Law Society of Ontario from 2019 -2023. Cheryl sat on the Law Society's Competence Task Force as well as the Technology Task Force during her term.. Cheryl also served as an adjudicator on the Law Society Tribunal, Hearing Division.
Cheryl earned an LLB at Dalhousie University in Halifax and an LLM at Osgoode Hall Law School at York University in Toronto. She was called to the Ontario Bar in 1991. Cheryl was a member of the Board of Directors of the Hastings County Law Association and served as its president from 2007 to 2009.
Cheryl has a passion for photography and visual art. She worked as a photo-journalist, art gallery director and CBC broadcast journalist prior to beginning her legal career.
